A Free Checking Account is designed for those who want a no
minimum balance checking account and want to be able to write
an unlimited number of checks. For a low initial deposit of
$100, this account entitles the holder to unlimited check
writing privileges, cash station or debit card access, and
24-hour banking by phone services. The bank even handles the
safekeeping of the canceled checks. If a copy of a check is
ever needed, the bank provides three free copies per statement
cycle and a $1 a copy thereafter.
College Checking
With all the same requirements and structure of Free Checking, students leaving for college or currently enrolled at a college may sign up for Home State Bank's College Checking and receive additional benefits including:

With an opening balance of $100, a personal checking account
provides unlimited free checking. If the balance falls below
$300 at any time, a $6.00 monthly service fee is assessed
for that cycle. If, however, an average balance of $1,000
has been maintained for the cycle, the service charge is waived.
A monthly statement is provided with check images.
